The tension between truth and mystery. This is ultimately what I explore through the lens of photography. A camera can freeze time, snatching a moment between its shutter clicks, capturing something “realistic”, yet it can also see reality in ways that human eyes cannot - blending the passage of time into painterly blurs or slicing a fleeting moment into hyperreality with samurai blade precision. Therefore my work explores ideas of truth and perception, faith and mystery through a range of photographic styles from impressionistic to documentary, portrait landscape and street - always perceiving, as through a glass darkly.
